Welcome to British ORT

British ORT raises funds in the UK for World ORT, the largest Jewish non-governmental education and training organisation in the world. ORT, a non-political, non-profit organisation operates in 58 countries, spanning five continents.

Through a worldwide network of kindergartens, schools, colleges and educational projects, ORT annually provides hundreds of thousands students of all ages with teaching that focuses on the practical skills needed to find jobs and develop careers.

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to grow up safely; knowledgeable and proud of their heritage and with and education that will sustain them for life, whatever challenges await them.

For 127 years ORT has worked in the most disadvantaged Jewish communities to provide educational resources of the highest standard for those who would otherwise simply not have access to such facilities.

ORT also acts as an ambassador for Israel and the Jewish people by working with deprived communities in developing countries.
