British ORT

Welcome to the British ORT website.

Since our establishment in Tsarist Russia in 1880, ORT has been instrumental in transforming lives worldwide. ORT is the world's largest Jewish education and vocational training organisation. This year, through our network of schools, colleges and training centres in 63 countries worldwide including Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Argentina and Mexico, we will directly benefit more than 200,000 people.

ORT helps young people to develop the tools to become self-sufficient and secure a good job to support their families. Particularly in these difficult times, we believe our mission of improving someone's situation for life is paramount, and our broad network of ORT families across the globe also means we are helping to ensure the continuity of Jewish communities and values.

Each year ORT is taking on new responsibilities and facing new challenges, and it is thanks to you, our generous donors and supporters that we are able to continue this valuable work and make a difference to current and future generations of Jewish people worldwide.
