British ORT

How You Can Help

Since 1960 more than 2 million people have benefited from ORT's activities in the developing world.

Legacies

Only by specifying your wishes in a Will can you be sure that your property will pass to the people you want it to. Without a Will, the distribution of property is governed by strict legal principles which are unlikely to have the effect you intend and may also leave loved ones with a large and often unnecessary tax bill. Where there is no Will and there are no living relatives, all property goes to the State.

Tax liability on one's estate can be limited with careful planning. In particular, it is worth remembering that any gift to charity is tax free and may consequently reduce your estate's overall tax bill. View more details on the importance and methods of Trust and Estate planning.

Whether or not you are one of our regular supporters, a legacy to British ORT provides a lasting gift to future generations. Should you wish to make a legacy to British ORT and you do not have a Will, we suggest that you contact your Solicitor or call us here at British ORT and we will introduce you to one of our panel of Solicitors who will be pleased to help you.

If you already have a Will the simplest and most inexpensive way of giving to charity is to complete our specially drafted Codicil and place it with your Will. Alternatively, please call us on 020 7446 8520 or email info@britishort.org for more information.
