Past Projects

Over the years, British ORT has aimed to respond wherever an urgent need has arisen, as well as supporting projects intended to build the educational infrastructure which communities need for their long-term well-being. Read about a range of the projects we have supported below. 

SMART Classrooms in Megiddo, Israel, 2009-2013.

As part of World ORT's '1,000 SMART Classrooms' initiative, Megiddo Regional High School was provided with 10 SMART Classrooms in Marchl 2010.

Social Needs Provision, Sha'ar HaNegev, Israel, 2009.

Sha’ar HaNegev Regional High School, located just outside Sderot in Southern Israel, has been a regular target for Kassam rockets from Gaza.

The Aleph School, Zaparoje, 2003-2009.

Mary and Harry Polan Scholarship, Kadoori, Israel, 2009-.

In 2008, British ORT received a legacy donation from Dorothy Adams.

Dr. and Mrs. M Brynberg Scholarships, Israel, 2009-.

In her legacy, left to British ORT in September 2008, Mrs Anna Brynberg requested the establishment of a scholarship in her and her husband's name.

ORT Mexico Technology Centre, 2006-2008.

Mexico has 12 Jewish Secondary Schools, none of which had the up-to-date IT facilities necessary to teach their students the technical and vocational skills demanded by the modern workplace.
